The SAFMA Conference: A journey to excellence brings together
professionals, leaders, and innovators from across the facilities
management industry for two days of inspiration, learning,
and celebration. It’s an energised experience designed to spark

The 4th Annual Africa FM International Conference 2024
A landmark gathering
From 20–22 October 2024, SAFMA, in partnership with Africa FM,
presented the 4th Annual Africa FM International Conference at the
Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). This premier
gathering brought together facilities management professionals,
industry leaders, and innovators from across the continent for
a powerful exchange of ideas on technology, sustainability, and
the future of the African built environment.

The South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA) is
a self-sustaining professional body, recognised both locally and
internationally, with a strong and meaningful role in South Africa’s
facilities management community.
SAFMA defines facilities management as an enabler of sustainable
enterprise performance through the whole-life management of
productive workplaces and effective business support services.
Since its founding, SAFMA has grown to represent a broad
spectrum of FM professionals and organisations, providing a
