The SAFMA Awards are set to shine on 22 October 2025, taking centre stage at the Future Africa Campus, University of Pretoria.
The SAFMA Awards celebrate the outstanding individuals, teams, and organisations who are raising the bar in the Facilities Management (FM) profession in South Africa. These annual awards shine a spotlight on innovation, leadership, and impact—recognising those who are shaping the future of the built environment and inspiring progress across the industry.
In 2025, we’re proud to present a refreshed set of categories designed to reflect the diversity, creativity, and commitment driving FM today. Whether you’re early in your career, leading transformative projects, or championing sustainability, there’s a category that showcases your achievements.
Award Categories
- Young Achiever – Recognising exceptional FM professionals aged 35 or under who are making a measurable impact.
- Innovation in Facilities Management – Celebrating fresh ideas, services, or technologies transforming FM practice.
- Best FM Service Provider – Honouring outsourced providers delivering excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.
- Community Impact Award – Recognising FM-led initiatives that create lasting positive change in communities.
- Health, Safety & Wellness Initiative of the Year – Highlighting proactive initiatives that enhance wellbeing in facilities.
- Leadership in FM – Celebrating visionary leaders driving industry success and mentoring future talent.
- Women in FM Recognition Award – Spotlighting women leading change, breaking barriers, and inspiring excellence.
- Sustainability Champion of the Year – Honouring those advancing environmental stewardship in FM.

- Submission Deadline: 8 October 2025
- Eligibility: Open to current SAFMA members only
- Winner Announcement: During the Awards Evening at the Roots & Routes Festival, 22–23 October 2025, at the Future Africa Campus, University of Pretoria.
- Recognition: Winners receive a SAFMA trophy, certificate, and the opportunity to share their insights with SAFMA members at a future event.
A tiered recognition system – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze – will be awarded based on judging scores, in line with the Global FM framework.
